Becoming Frugal
I honestly cannot say that I have always been one who lived frugally. I always buy the store brand, I attempt to bring coupons, and I try to save money where I can.
So when my husband challenged me to see how much money I could save in a week, I was determined to live down to the penny. He thought it would be too hard given the 4 kids we are raising, but I have always been involved in sports, and loosing is just not an option. My goal this week is to find a way to make every product I need to clean my house, and I will succeed!
Here is my recipe for homemade window cleaner, oh and it works great, I cannot wait to see the shock in my husband face!!
INGREDIENTS
1 cup water
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons rubbing alcohol
1-1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
DIRECTIONS
1. Combine all ingredients into a spray bottle
2. Shake well mixing all ingredients.
3. Use on glass surfaces, wipe with a paper towel or soft cloth
5. Enjoy clean windows with the streak-free shine. Remembering you only spent a few pennies!
6. Don’t Forget – shake before each use, cornstarch will settle in the bottom of the spray bottle so mix well before each use.
