Ketchup
In emergency situations having food that tastes good is sometimes challenging. Long-term storage foods such as wheat, dried beans, and milk are great but having variety and comfort tastes are just as important.
Everyone enjoys variety and different tastes in our diets. If your diet suddenly was based on just a few staples it would not take long before eating would become boring which might discourage eating at all.
That is why making foods with familiar tastes and variety will be imperative when we are in an emergency, or grid down situation.
The best part about this recipe is it is easy and quick to make. Helps me with the budget and saves me a trip to the grocery store. The best part is, I can start making it now and practicing using my storage and my kids already love how the ketchup tastes.
